Luxury living – isn’t this how it should be? No one will object if I borrow a backdrop in any case.

Tres Blah have produced this pretty chemise which I noticed on my travels this weekend. With a lacy decolletage and flowing double skirt it has something of a vintage feel, chevron details accentuating the bust, helped along by the ripples of the fabric against the skin. The sensible shoulder straps go a little wide over the shoulders for my liking, although the lead up front and back is neat. Not enough to bother me and can be covered up if you prefer; overall it’s a sweet little top, reasonably priced and well deserving of a place in your inventory.

I added a little lace bolero top to cover the shoulders – it provides another texture and something of a base for the scarf as well as interesting exposure on the upper body. It was part of a set from WAvE that’s completely free of charge, no bad thing for a fashionista on a budget.

Continuing the run of fine fabric, I bought one of Surf Couture’s Summery skirts which sits with no trouble beneath the chemise, continuing the flow of the outfit. Slightly darker with deep pink stripes running around, the tiered skirt stands out for its considered shading and flirty shape. It’s designed to be worn high waist with a tighter top and looks equally good as such, but you’ll find plenty of mix and match options too.

I do think it may be some time before anyone manages to prise Gos’s Espadrilles off my feet. If you buy the model version (fatpack) or indeed just a few of the colour updaters, you’ll quickly find these are versatile enough to accommodate your entire season’s wardrobe, and in the classic wedge style with weave backing and floppy bow ties on the ankle, it’s hard to find any daywear they won’t suit. For a more in-depth review and to see some of the other textue options, have a look at my previous writeup.

I kept the accessories simple, opting for wooden bangles from Calla and this pretty scarf from Atelier AM. It sits comfortably, the sash wide around the neck and pulling tight to a bow over the chest. To show it off at its best I picked out a casual updo from Truth, the Chalice style which sits in a loose bun to the side with long, swept fringe that covers the right side of the face.

The bag is an older release from YourSkin & YourShape, a handheld in brown leather with draw strings runching the top, fashionista-friendly magazines peeping through the opening. The stiff handle is fastened on either side with golden buckles, providing a polished finish.

As a final mention, some of the handbag poses I’m using are from POSEUR, part of a free set for subscribo members which you can find at the mainstore. They’re designed for a handheld bag and to work with wide tops and dresses, so were just perfect for this look. You can also have a looked at the ‘Dressed’ poses from Glitterati – not so much designed for handbags, but definitely for fuller skirts, you’ll get plenty of use from the set.
