Mocha
The snow’s back. Best to wrap up for the occasion.
This cape jacket from MALT is a new release, available in plenty of colours with various options for styling. You can choose to wear longer or shorter sleeves and there are two collars included so it’s very much up to you how you wear this one. I opted to maximise the tiered, striped sleeves which flow beneath the peaked shoulders, the darker tone picked up again on the wide, open collar with its layers of material falling down to the front and back to shield you from the worst of the weather. While there is a glitch layer provided and you can mod both the prims or your body to get a perfect fit, if you wanted to cheat you could create your own alpha layer to ‘hide’ your chest and give the best shape in the body. Nude Under Water
Look again.
The new Lorelei set from ICING immediately caught my eye when Miko Omegamu announced its release yesterday. What girl doesn’t love a little glamour in her life? Disguised as an elegant dress, Lorelei’s bodice features pleated silk cups with black panels to either side that extend the length of the design and surround the tops. Skinny straps support with a slim sash sewn around the ribs for extra detail. It drops to a pencil skirt which finishes just above the knee, but of course you don’t have to wear that indoors. Whip it off to reveal a vintage inspired bodysuit complete with suspenders and stockings. What a treat! Lorelei is currently available in purple in the Lucky Chairs at the ICING store, so if you’re a little strapped for cash you can stop by and see if you can win a set instead. Call For Couture (CFC) has been getting a lot of attention on the feeds, and not without good reason. Open until 31 October, CFC is showcasing some 185 brands and their new and exclusive releases. As well as being a fashion extravaganza, CFC is also aiming to raise money for The Samaritans, a UK based emotional support service, by auctioning over 100 unique items with 50% of proceeds being donated. A little continental
There’s very little I recall from the language lessons I had as a child, but should I ever find myself stuck in France with a few Euros and nothing else, I take solace in the fact that I could always locate a bakery and ask for a chocolatey pastry, even if all else was beyond me.
General ignorance aside, I’d like to share ‘The French Bakery’ pose set with you. I was sent a review copy by Flix Saiman of CLICK and was very excited by the vibrant street scene. Built with the professional photographer in mind, this continental set comes complete with Boulangerie, flower stall, fountain and cafe seating area and is loaded with dozens of static poses. Elle consists of separates in various colours with several options of tone and texture per piece giving you huge variety from just a few purchases. Beguiled Again
I’m innocent. In my own eyes at least.
Hair Fair 2010 is playing host to a wide range of designers: some current favourites, some fresh faces and others who we’ve known and loved but seem to have been quiet for a while. Decoy re-emerged recently with an offering at the Shoe Fair, and for the Hair Fair we have new releases including the adorable Leah. This static style has a long fringe obscuring one eye, the face framed by lengths of hair that fall before the pull back to an upturned ponytail. I love how the style graduates from back to front, tidy with a little carelessness lending character. Leah has a natural youth and sweetness to her but as a finishing touch I added a butterfly hair grip on available free from ByKay. You Could Have Had Me
I like things done properly, so when it comes to poisoning I always ensure a sufficient quantity of venom is at my disposal. Of course when you use a vial this size it may make administration that little bit more tricky… but I always enjoy a challenge.
Miko Omegamu of ICING has been quiet for a while but has just returned with two new releases, one of which is this pretty tea dress in her signature style. Ideal for formal occasions that don’t require ballroom dress, this strapless frock features a sweetheart neckline with sashed waist, the skirt fanning out from the hips and falling in a wide circle around the legs. MALT are currently having a sale, where I picked up a few things I’ve had my eye on including this floaty top. Each pack comes in two tones with the colours reversed, strapless with ribbon finish, wrapping about the top and knotted to the centre, excess trailing down the length. The skirt flows from beneath the chest, dotted with daisy heads and edged with a contrasting ruffle. The shading is strong but it suits the style and gives wonderful definition throughout; I paired up with the sleeves of a dress from Evie’s Closet which I’ve previously featured, the two a near perfect match.
