Look again.

The new Lorelei set from ICING immediately caught my eye when Miko Omegamu announced its release yesterday. What girl doesn’t love a little glamour in her life? Disguised as an elegant dress, Lorelei’s bodice features pleated silk cups with black panels to either side that extend the length of the design and surround the tops. Skinny straps support with a slim sash sewn around the ribs for extra detail. It drops to a pencil skirt which finishes just above the knee, but of course you don’t have to wear that indoors. Whip it off to reveal a vintage inspired bodysuit complete with suspenders and stockings. What a treat! Lorelei is currently available in purple in the Lucky Chairs at the ICING store, so if you’re a little strapped for cash you can stop by and see if you can win a set instead. She runs her hand over the curves of her body, leaning across the desk where she kneels to stroke the cheek of the astonished Detective.

“I’m not a bad girl,” she whispers, her lips an inch away from his own, “just a little short on funds.”

The ringing telephone interrupts briefly, and without care the Detective reaches down to pull the wire from the wall. It gives her all the time she needs to reach into the desk and draw the revolver there, already loaded and now held to his head. Read the rest of this entry »

You Could Have Had Me

I like things done properly, so when it comes to poisoning I always ensure a sufficient quantity of venom is at my disposal. Of course when you use a vial this size it may make administration that little bit more tricky… but I always enjoy a challenge.

Miko Omegamu of ICING has been quiet for a while but has just returned with two new releases, one of which is this pretty tea dress in her signature style. Ideal for formal occasions that don’t require ballroom dress, this strapless frock features a sweetheart neckline with sashed waist, the skirt fanning out from the hips and falling in a wide circle around the legs. The satin texture gives an opulent feel, flounced panels providing exaggerated movement that still keeps the legs concealed. Read the rest of this entry »

Eminently Contagious

A woman’s work is never done. Fortunately we have weekends for shopping in.

I love shopping at Coco. They seem to deliver every time, offering some classic wardrobe pieces that you really can’t afford to be without. The Tuxedo Jacket completely defines this outfit: the tailoring is extremely feminine, given an edge with its powerful, angled shoulders and clean lines throughout. The effect is softened by a rounded hemline that runs down and splits open to the back. Read the rest of this entry »

Doll You Got Used To

Posted in Fashion, iheartsl, MV-SL-Fashion tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , at 3:15 pm by Fayne Khandr

Convenience is everything to the rabid consumer: purchases neatly packaged and prepared with no thought or effort needed when it comes to turning out our spoils. I take delight in creating one thing from another and to be following my blog it would seem you feel the same: in one of my less lucid moments, I thought there may be some amusement value in gift-wrapping my own doll.

While the more entertaining image would have been an action figure, the most natural manifest for me is a painted porcelain (although not bereft of spirit). Charged with the task of using lace and frills in abundance to create my living doll, I went shopping and came back with a key piece from Icing. Read the rest of this entry »
